Starting this Saturday, the South Paris Arena 1 will host the world’s top men’s volleyball teams as the Olympic tournament of the Paris 2024 Games kicks off. The tournament begins with pool play, where 12 teams are divided into three pools. The top two teams from each pool, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals.
Pool A: France, Slovenia, Canada, Serbia
Reigning Olympic champions France aim to defend their title on home soil. Slovenia, coming off a strong VNL 2024 performance, hopes for a medal. Canada, with a strong lineup, looks to make a deep run, while Serbia is poised to be a strong contender if they reach the knockout stage.
Pool B: Poland, Italy, Brazil, Egypt
This pool features heavyweights Poland, Italy, and Brazil. Poland, the top-ranked team, seeks their first medal in 48 years. Pool C: USA, Argentina, Japan, Germany
