After suffering defeats from China and USA, Women’s National Team of Italy won next five games in a row, finishing the run with a 3-1 triumph over Turkey, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 32-30, in Pool H1, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Both sides showed respectful blocking performance (a 13-10 for Italy), but Turkish NT made more unforced errors (37-29), which is a significant difference in such a leveled game as it was today. The defeat against Italy was the fifth consecutive for Turkey.

The Week 2 MVP, Paola Egonu, topped Italy with 23 points (four aces) while Meryem Boz collected 19 points for Turkey. Beyza Arıcı also stood out on the losing team with six kill blocks.
