There is not much time for grieving when it comes to the United States as the 2018 FIVB World Championship is getting closer. But, still, losing the semifinal of such an important tournament like the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League is certainly frustrating...

„We got better as the match progressed, and obviously we have some great flexibility with the players that we have, and Matt (Anderson) did a great job. These matches help us learn a lot about our guys. We’ll just have to go back and evaluate and keep getting better. I’m looking forward to training now. The hardest thing with the VNL is that you get so little practice time. That’s frustrating, so we’ll get in the gym with the guys now in order to try and be better,“ the USA head coach John Speraw stated after losing semifinal to France.

Speraw was experimenting with using Patch and giving him experience, but I feel Patch isn’t there as yet and he should have stayed with Russell, the US would have a better chance of playing in the finals..
