According to L’Équipe, Laurent Tillie will lead the France National Team in the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games. As it was known from earlier, after eight years at the helm of the “Les Bleus“, the expert had decided to leave the post at the end of the Olympics to join the Japanese club Panasonic Panthers. At the time, the event was to be held in the summer this year. However, the postponement of the Games has changed the situation for Tillie although there was a chance that he commanded France Men for the last time in the European Olympic Qualifier in January without knowing it.

“The idea was that I go to the Tokyo Olympics. With this postponement which is relatively short in time, I reached an agreement with the Japanese club to be able to go the Games and made the one with the French federation, too. It’s not official yet, we have to get into details but they agree. It’s progressing well,“ Tillie stated for L’Équipe.
