Émile Rousseaux Steps Down as France Women’s Head Coach, Andrea Giani Renewed

The French Volleyball Federation announced that Émile Rousseaux will step down as head coach of the women’s national team after a successful six-year tenure. Under his leadership, the team achieved historic milestones, including a Golden League title in 2022 and a Challenger Cup victory in 2023. Rousseaux, who began his role in 2018, helped elevate the team from 56th to 19th in the global rankings. He expressed gratitude for the journey and is ready to focus on new personal goals.

Meanwhile, Andrea Giani, head coach of the French men’s volleyball team, has been reconfirmed for the next Olympic cycle. After leading the team to back-to-back Volleyball Nations League titles in 2022 and 2024, and an Olympic gold at Paris 2024, Giani is set to guide the squad through upcoming challenges, including the 2025 and 2027 World Championships and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
