The referees simply did not show up! So, Rennes as organizers had to find an urgent solution. They launched an appeal to find two persons present in the stands that were licensed referees to take charge of the match. Thus, a lady and a man accepted a call and, after organizers checked they really have licence, they became official referees of the match.

The fans of Rennes will long remember this funny evening in which their team took 3-1 win.
