“We have had a few difficult months, playing almost without resting. We started in May, at the World Cup and our last competition will be Olympic Games. All I can say that I’m pleased with the performances of my team” says Tillie and adds:

We are going to Rio and it’s going to be our last destination this summer. We have finished the World League recently in the third place. During those eight days in Saint Nazaire won’t be any revolution in the preparations. We will work on the details and regeneration of body and spirit. We are not sure what we are going to achieve there. Our previous performances do not guarantee the success in the future, but the truth is that we have confidence, but at the same time we are a little bit frustrated for not being able to fight for gold in World League. We must be ready for all possible scenarios in Rio,” concludes Laurent Tillie.

‘ I like L. Tillie approach. He is a modest, pretty realistic coach , not as some other NT coaches and players, who speaks only about gold…Moreover he understands a role of teamś psychology.
He realises as well, that now there are some more important issues. I keep him and his team fingers. Nevertheless they do have a big chance to be successful, also due to a fact that some very strong teams can not participate at all, or could take part in only with limited strength’.
