The champions Berlin Recycling Volleys ran over TV Rottenburg by a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-19) in Round 4 of the 2019/20 1. Bundesliga Männer regular season and reached 4-0. For the first time since the beginning of the season, Patch, Grankin, Klein and Kessel played in the line-up for the team from the German capital as they were got a break in the first three matches, not even being in the protocol (with the exception of Patch and Grankin in one game). The assistant coach Lucio Oro was in charge of Berlin today because the head coach Cédric Énard was prevented to lead the team for personal reasons. Also, the American opposite hitter Kyle Ensing was not at a disposal of the Brazilian coach due to knee problems. His teammate Cody Kessel top-scored for BR Volleys with 14 points through 71% attack (12/17). Tim Grozer, the younger brother of the world volleyball superstar György Grozer, scored 15 points for Rottenburg.

The newcomers Heitec Volleys Eltmann recorded their premiere win in Bundesliga. Thanks to Serbian opposite hitter Irfan Hamzagić, they beat Helios Grizzlys Giesen in straight sets.
