ITA M: Perugia and Milano extend their huge winning streaks

A huge winning streak of Sir Safety Conad Perugia in the 2019/20 Italian Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season continued in Round 16.

By beating Vero Volley Monza in straight sets, Sir Safety Conad Perugia recorded the 13th win in a row (10 in the SuperLega Credem Banca regular season and 3 in the CEV Champions League pool stage), keeping firmly 2nd place in the standings (13-2, 32 points). Cuban-born Wilfredo León top-scored for Vital Heynen’s side with 14 points. The Pole Bartosz Kurek delivered 10 points for Monza.

The leaders Cucine Lube Civitanova recovered from a first defeat in the competition and beat Top Volley Cisterna by a 3-1. The 3rd placed Leo Shoes Modena wrote down an easy 3-0 victory over Globo Banca Popolare del Frusinate Sora, while Allianz Milano achieved the 7th successive win to continue chasing the top 4.
