The Swedish opposite hitter Haak, still very young but already with a superstar status, signed with Imoco to confirm the unofficial information circling around this transfer for a while. The 22-year-old player had played many fiery finals against her new club in the last 3 years of wearing the jersey of Turkey’s VakıfBank.

Despite her young age, Haak is one of the world’s top players in her role and after the years with Savino Del Bene Scandicci, she returned to Serie A with a wealth of victories. Haak’s reputation has been starting to build in her native Sweden, when she was named MVP of the national league at the age of 15 in 2015. From there, Haak was named MVP of the French Championship, Turkish Championship, Turkish Cup, and FIVB Club World Championship once each. She also possesses several Best Opposite Spiker’s and Top Scorer’s awards in her CV. She had the most successes on a club level playing for VakıfBank with whom she took 2 league titles, 2 Turkish Cups, one Super Cup, the 2021 FIVB Club World Championship, and the last CEV Champions League – she won the latter two trophies beating Imoco in the title match. Haak is the youngest Swedish player ever to wear the senior national team jersey. On May 10, 2014, she made her senior international debut in a qualifying match for the 2015 CEV European championship against Latvia at the age of 15.

Imoco fans will have to wait and see if the Swede will be able to replace their favorite player Paola Egonu, who went the opposite direction, in the proper way.
