Conegliano Leads Serie A1 Tigotà PlayOff Finals 2-0 with Sweeping Win in Game 2

Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano took a commanding 2-0 lead in the Serie A1 Tigotà PlayOff Finals, defeating Numia Vero Volley Milano in straight sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-18).

With this emphatic victory, the reigning champions move just one win away from clinching the Scudetto, heading into Game 3 on Tuesday, April 22, at the Palaverde arena in Villorba.

Gabriela Guimaraes, better known as Gabi, delivered a standout performance and earned the MVP title for Game 2. She notched 19 points with a 48% attack success rate, displayed rock-solid reception at 60%, and showcased incredible defensive coverage.

She wasn’t alone in the spotlight—Isabelle Haak followed with 17 points, reaching a major milestone of 3,000 career points in Serie A1. Zhu Ting also made a significant contribution with 11 points, giving Conegliano a well-rounded offensive edge.

Milan’s Missed Chances

Despite the electric atmosphere and overwhelming home support, Milano couldn’t convert opportunities into a set win. Paola Egonu was their top performer with 19 points. Yet, crucial errors—especially nine attack faults in the second set—proved costly.
