The National Sports Judge has formally dismissed Vero Volley Monza’s appeal concerning the tight 3–2 loss to Cisterna Volley last weekend at the Opiquad Arena, confirming the result as final.

The club had questioned a decisive video-check accepted during the tie-break, which erased a point for Monza at 13–14 and effectively sealed Cisterna’s victory. Monza argued that Cisterna’s request came too late to be valid under the Video-Check Regulation, which requires immediate submission after the contested action.
However, the Judge’s ruling pointed to “a double ground of inadmissibility.” Records show Monza officially confirmed its intention to appeal at 20:52—well past the mandatory deadline set by Article 23 of the Jurisdictional Regulation. In addition, Article 16 of the Video-Check Regulation bars appeals against referees’ decisions on how video review tools are applied after the play has ended.
With the procedural window missed and the rules leaving no room for reinterpretation, the verdict stands. The 3–2 result is now officially validated, closing the case and leaving Monza without further avenues for contesting the match.
