ITA W: Former Junior European champion reinforces Conegliano

Italian champions Imoco Volley Conegliano announced they have put under contract the veteran receiver/outside hitter from Obiettivo Risarcimento Vicenza.

The 34-year-old Elisa Cella, who even collected some international experience (Poland and France), will be a valuable piece in Davide Mazzanti’s squad for many tough obligations of the club in 2016/17.

Cella took one gold medal with Italy’s Junior National Team (1998 CEV European Championship). In 2005, she got the first call-up for senior national team which and won two silver medals that year.

On a club level, Cella took title in the CEV Cup with Vicenza, in 2001.

She is also a beach volleyball specialist. In fact, Cella won the Italian championship three times.
