The first semifinal match of the 40th Italian Serie A1 Women’s Cup will start at 15:30 by local time and the first will play Imoco Volley Conegliano and Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio.
An interesting fact is that both teams were winners of the Italian Cup only once although they played few Final tournaments.
Imoco Volley is the fresh one because they won Cup last season when they beat Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena with 3-0. On the other side, UYBA won the trophy in season 2011/2012.
In the second semifinal, Igor Gorgonzola Novara and Saugella Team Monza will meet at 22:30.Last two times when Novara have played at F4, they faced Imoco in the semifinals and in 2016/2017 they were defeated while in 2014/2015 they won 3-1. That same year they won the first and for now an only trophy of the Cup when they outplayed Liu Jo Modena 3-1.
From this year’s participants, only Saugella Team Monza never came to the highest podium and with the trophy in their hands.
On Sunday 18, at 20:30 will be Final of Serie A1 while on the same day but at 17:30 Battistelli San Giovanni Marignano and LPM Bam Mondovi will play the final of the Italian Cup A2.
