GS Caltex KIXX were so close to breaking the invincibility of the Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders in the 2020/21 Dodram V-League regular season for women.

However, thanks to an amazing performance – the one that has been eagerly expected since the beginning of the season – of the biggest name of the country’s volleyball Kim Yeon-Koung, the Pink Spiders survived. The Asian volleyball superstar tallied 38 points in a five-set victory of her team and had support in Kim Se-Young (4 blocks) and Kim Mi-Yeon (4 aces).

Despite her performance, Kim Yeon-Koung wasn’t the highest scorer on the match as American Merete Lutz had 43 points on the losing side! Han Su-Ji set up 5 blocks.
