Mursa Osijek made a strong start to the SuperSport Superliga finals after defeating HAOK Mladost 3-0 in the opening match of the championship series.
The defending champions controlled the contest from the start and claimed victory in 88 minutes, taking an early lead in the best-of-five final.
Osijek proved stronger in attack and made fewer mistakes, while Leo Andrić led the winners with 22 points. Marko Repek was Mladost’s top scorer with 13.
The second match of the series will be played in Osijek.
