Al Rayyan
The QVA League champions won all six of their matches, including a straight-sets 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 26-24) victory against their archrivals from Qatar, Al Arabi Club, in a winner-takes-all clash.
This was the second regional title for Al Rayyan, having also won in 2011. Al Rayyan won five of their matches 3-0. Against Bahrain’s Al Ahli Club, they needed four sets to collect full points.
Al Arabi, who were the first Qatari club to win the top prize in 2010, finished second. They also put up a good show, clinching four of their matches 3-0. They defeated Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia 3-1 before suffering a 0-3 loss to Al Rayyan.
