Japan women’s V.League: Hisamitsu remain perfect after seven rounds, reigning champions suffer defeat again

Hisamitsu Springs are alone on top of the standings of the Japanese women’s V. League 2017/2018.

They have scored a 3-0 victory against Toyota Auto Body Queenseis to remain perfect so far this season with a 7-0 score. Rika Nomoto (14 points) and Foluke Akinradewo (12) were the best scorers on the winning side, while Neriman Ozsoy had 16 points on the other side.

The reigning champions have suffered the fifth defeat in the league, the third in a row, which pushed them to the edge. They are currently in the seventh place with 2-5 score. Denso Airybees defeated them in five sets 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 15-10).

Brankica Mihajlovic was the top scorer of the round, however, her team didn’t manage to beat Ageo, even though they very close to do it. The Serbian player scored 29, while Kenia Carceres finished the game with 24 on the other side.
