After the 2020/2021 season in the PlusLiga, in which Jastrzębski Węgiel achieved great success by winning the Polish championship, there will be huge changes in the composition of the team.

Jastrzębski Węgiel announced the departure of 7 players: Lukas Kampa, Jakub Bucki, Yacine Louati, Mohamed Al Hachdadi, Michał Szalacha, Grzegorz Kosok have completed their contracts, while Michał Gierżot will be loaned to another club.

As for the players who have valid contracts with Jastrzębski Węgiel for next season, they are: Jakub Popiwczak, Jurij Gladyr, Łukasz Wiśniewski, Tomasz Fornal, Rafał Szymura, Szymon Biniek and Eemi Tervaportti. It is also confirmed that Andrea Gardini will continue to lead the team in the 2021/2022 season.

There is no official confirmation of arrivals yet, but information circulating is that the team’s new players will be: setter Benjamin Toniutti who will arrive from Zaksa and opposite Stephen Boyer who started the season in Verona and then moved to Qatar, first to Al Arabi SC and for the end of the season he was member of Al Rayyan SC. There is also speculation about the arrival of Slovenian outside hitter Tine Urnaut, who is also mentioned as a possible reinforcement for the Russian team from Belgorod (Belogorie).
