Olympic Picnic
The guests in attendance included ski-jumpers Piotr Zyla and Kamil Stoch, swimmer and former Olympic champion Otylia Jedrzejczak as well as past Olympic glories Andrzej Supron and Irena Szewinska.
“This initiative is very cool especially for young people and children for they have the opportunity to meet with popular athletes. They even could play Volleyball with us. Sometimes people think we do not want to catch up with others and we simply live our lives. We are very happy we could be here after driving a few hundreds of km from Dabrowa Gornicza to Warsaw” outside hitter Joanna Staniucha-Szczurek says.
The event was organized by Tauron MKS main sponsor, Tauron Polska Energia, and by the Polish Olympic Committee. It was a good chance to promote a healthy lifestyle among the children and showcase what the club has achieved in recent times. “Though we had driven 300 km we could realize that in Warsaw Volleyball is as popular as in our neighborhood. We are very happy to see that people are so much interested in our sport” says Tauron MKS Marketing Responsible Marcin Babczyk.
