“I just hope that our guys will drive the people crazy here at ERGO Arena” says the team captain of Atom Trefl SOPOT, Izabela Belcik only two days before the start of the Championship.

“Even though our national team did not show their best in this year’s World League and also at the Memorial Hubert Jerzy Wagner, I think it is only a question of time and self-confidence. Poland has got a great team with strong players who will be playing in front of thousands of fans all dressed in their favourite red and white outfitsBelcik continues. “This shall add some extra motivation as they play their matches at ERGO Arena”.

Belcik is not the only player who will follow the VELUX EuroVolley 2013 this coming weekend right by the time Atom Trefl participates in the Three Nations tournament in Karpacz. Dutch lady Judith Pietersen will follow closely the actions of the “Oranjes” hoping that they can cause a sensation in pool C taking place in Herning. “Of course I am a fan of the Dutch national team and will follow their matches. I know that the Netherlands are not among the pre-favourites for this tournament but maybe they can cause a sensation like they did at the Wagner Memorial where they beat Russia in straight sets” she says.

They have just beaten France twice in their last friendly matches, so I am confident that they can achieve some good results” adds the opposite of Atom Trefl.

Though they won’t be able to follow the prelims matches this weekend, the Atomic girls are planning to show up at ERGO Arena for the Playoffs and 1/4 finals coming up next week.
