A great rivarly was born between the two teams last season in Orlenliga playoffs finals when Trefl Sopot managed to turnaround big 2-0 lead in favor of Dabrowa Gornicza and won three straight games in a row, to claim the Championship.
Teun Buijs combined a lot and gave chance to almost every player on Trefl Sopot squad. Top scorer of the match was the Dabrowa Gornicza opposite Zaroślińska Katarzyna with 22 points and was followed by Julia Shelukhina of the Trefl Sopot who had 14.
Ergo Arena was packed with 2600 spectators and it was a joy to watch a clash of Polish top teams once again. Certainly this win can be considered as a statement to Trefl Sopot’s ambitions to win the tile again.
