Gian Luca Pasini reported that the Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) has ended the quest for the new men’s national team head coach.
PZPS is conducting assessments of candidates for taking over posts in both men’s and women’s national teams after the departure of Vital Heynen. And whilst it is known that four names remained in the run for the job in the women’s national team (Antiga, Chiappini, Lavarini, and Santarelli), in the case of the men’s national team, little is still known. Of the six applications, two were rejected by PZPS. The remaining coaches will take part in the talks. The federation didn’t agree to disclose the names.
However, Gian Luca Pasini informed in his blog that Nikola Grbić has reached an agreement to coach Poland Men by which the new PZPS president Sebastian Świderski will add Serbian expert to his ‘team’, making the golden couple of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle that won the CEV Champions League last season. The official announcement will likely not be given before 2022.
