The surprise came in the first 2022-23 PlusLiga match of Round 6. PGE Skra Bełchatów was a clear favorite in the clash with Projekt Warszawa, but it had to recognize the superiority of its rivals: 0-3. Both teams started the season with defeats, but Skra did better in the next games. The problem with Warszawa was that injuries pretty much cut their roster, which didn’t allow them to play with the full squad. Hence, they recorded four defeats in as many games before breaking such a negative streak a week ago.

Belgian Igor Grobelny top-scored for the club from the Polish capital with 22 points, making 81% attack (17/21).
