“Our expectations are high and we are looking forward to the start of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League. We will try to do the best and win every game. We will try as hard as we can. I am expecting a very difficult season as our Polish PlusLiga became bigger but I am not going to complain. Playing in the CEV Volleyball Champions League is a chance to develop as a team,” stated Miguel Angel Falasca, who was among the guests of the special press conference held at Energia Sports Hall in Belchatow. For the Argentinian-born coach of PGE Skra it will the debut in the competition after starting his second Volleyball life at the helm of his former team, but he has plenty of experience from his times as a player.
“First of all we are pleased that our club comes back to the elite. I think that for us and for any sportsman playing in the Champions League, it is something really big. Each of us is fully determined, mobilised and focused in order to achieve the best result. We have our dreams and we want to fulfil them,” PGE Skra captain Mariusz Wlazly stated. Also for him it will be the ninth appearance in the CEV Volleyball Champions League.
PGE Skra was drawn in Pool F together with Precura ANTWERP, Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK and Jihostroj CESKE BUDEJOVICE. The Polish team will start their campaign on November 5 with an away game at CESKE BUDEJOVICE. It will be the first time the PGE Skra players will travel for a Champions League match by… bus.
