The corruption case of the President and Vice President of the Polish Volleyball Federation has moved further. The indictment in which they are officially accused for corruption was sent to the District Court in Warsaw.

Recall that the President of the Poland’s VF Mirosław Przedpełski was accused in the autumn of 2014 that he received bribe from one security company in exchange for entrusting this company to secure the 2014 World Championship, bypassing the legal procedure. Apparently, he acted jointly with his deputy Artur Popko, the Vice President of the Polish Volleyball Federation, in taking bribe.

Przedpełski and Popko also took bribe regarding the sale of tickets for the matches at this tournament  and multimedia covering.

As Polish media published, both did not admit to the charges and “basically refused to give explanations”.

Since they were detained in November 2014 and prosecutors put corruption charges on them, they were arrested for several months, but bailed out.

Though they did not admit their guilt, they waived their positions in the Polish Volleyball Federation.
