Miroslaw Przedpełski, president of the Polish Volleyball Federation: “We can play well on day and lose the second day. I think that victories will come, we have the World Championship in Poland. We will continue to fight for the top places. I do not think we played badly, but we didn’t play like we could. However, I believe that victories will come.”
Andrea Anastasi, Poland’s coach: “This is my first conference without result, without success, but I wanted to thank you for your support – the federation and fans. It is a sport and we can’t always be successful. I love this team, I love these guys. I’ve always said that I’m proud of them, they really worked hard and wanted to achieve this desired success. We lost – this is true, we did not do a good job on the Olympics, but the failures are the part sport. Once you win, sometimes you lose, I am conscious of defeat, but as I said, this is a sport and should be reconciled. We failed, but the players should be respected. As for me, I have a contract, I want and I will be working on, I am confident that we can achieve success. The Polish men’s volleyball has huge potential.”
