Alexander Butko could cover his emotions at the end of the 2016 CEV Men’s Champions League Finals. He started crying immediately after the last point… The tears of happiness were storming out of his eyes.

After the match, Butko stated for WorldofVolley that this match was quite emotional for him.

“This was very important for us. We needed to take one set to start playing. When we finally made it, we started serving a spiking much better than before that. This is definitely one of the best moments of my career… It is like London 2012. The same situation. Back then we were also down by 0-2… I do not know what to say. It’s a miracle.”
