The clubs from Poland obviously want to put their entire focus on PlusLiga in 2016/17 season.

After Lotos Trefl Gdansk, which decided to withdraw from the 2016/17 CEV Cup, one more Polish club chose not to participate in the European competitions in the next season!

Cuprum Lubin announced that they will not play in the 2016/17 Challenge Cup! The club which has finished the last season in PlusLiga at the 5th place stated that the quality of Challenge Cup is far below the quality of PlusLiga and that the team can’t benefit by playing in that competition.

This is certainly another blow for the European volleyball. Recall that two women’s teams from Poland made the same decision.
