Grot Budowlani Łódź definitely managed to keep the backbone of the last season’s roster who surprisingly won silver medal in the Polish Women’s Volleyball Championship.

The Czech setter Pavla Vincourová will stay in Budowlani for the third consecutive season as she decided to extend the contract with OrlenLiga runners-up, who will play 2018 CEV Champions League.

Earlier, Budowlani renewed with Belgian receiver Kaja Grobelna and middle blocker Gabriela Polańska as well, while libero Paulina Maj-Erwardt took maternity leave and will be replaced by player of Italian Unet Yamamay Busto Arsizio.

Polish club also announced several other transfer activities: receivers Martyna Grajber and Julia Twardowska sealed the new deal whilst the captain Sylwia Pycia retired. German receiver Heike Beier said goodbye to Budowlani (still did not find new team for the next season). In addition, setter Ewelina Tobiasz will wear the jersey of MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza in 2017/2018.

It’s not that Heike Beier did not find a new club. She also retired!
