Trefl Gdańsk, who nearly shut down a couple of months ago, kept astounding with their performances in the Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship PlusLiga.

The team coached by Andrea Anastasi, who was on the verge of shutting down before the start of the season, has never beat Asseco Resovia Rzeszów on the road in the national championship… until today! In the seventh round of PlusLiga, Trefl demolished Resovia by a 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-21). Damian Schulz was the most deserving player in the historic win of Trefl (5-1 record), with 15 points. Jakub Jarosz noted 12 points for Resovia, who have a disappointing campaign in PlusLiga, so far, with a 3-3 record.

Defending champions Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle gave a chance to Łuczniczka Bydgoszcz only in the opening set after which they easily prevailed in the next two. The Belgian receiver Sam Deroo notched 13 points to become the most efficient player in Zaksa as they preserved their invincibility in the tournament with 6-0.
