Aleksey Verbov, who recently resigned from the post of the head coach of Zenit-Kazan, will be at the helm of Kuzbass next season. The one-time FIVB World Championship and a two-time CEV EuroVolley Best Libero during his playing career revealed this information to the local website from Kazan, Tatar-inform, himself.
“Yes, there’s already an agreement with Kuzbass, although the contract hasn’t been signed yet. The deal will be for one year. And after that, we’ll see,” Verbov, who has just finished his first year as a head coach ever, said. He replaced Romanian expert Gheorghe Crețu.
Kuzbass took the bronze medal in the 2019/20 Russian Championship that had to be prematurely stopped due to coronavirus pandemic.
