So, in 2015, a major task of the Serbian Volleyball Federation will be to choose a new head coach. There are many candidates and many worldwide famous coaches that would like to sit on the Serbian bench.
Recently, the WoV fans voted the Italian Alberto Giuliani as the best solution. Aleksandar Boričić, the President of Serbian VF and FIVB Executive Vice-President does not like the idea of a foreign coach.
“We are looking for the best solution. If any foreigner comes, he would not fit in our thoughts, regardless of quality. I don’t want to talk about the names, but I would say that we have always kept the direction that cooperation with domestic coaches is absolutely correct. Instead to give a lot of money to the foreign coach, it’s better to relocate these resources on youth teams and our coaches”, said Boričić to zurnal.rs.
Serbian reporter wanted from Boričić to be clear – So, the choice will obviously be the domestic coach?
“If it’s not a foreigner, then there’s no any third!” said Boričić.

Hahah this is funny…Will Mr Boricic give that money to Serbian coaches???
Of course no, and no serbian coach will ask for even close money!!! And beside the coach, he will have also to pay second coach, scout, physio, etc. Thats why foreign coach is not a sution for serbian national team

Even with all this problems, Mr. Boricic and Serbian National team are among the best federations in serbia and one of the best volleyball federations in the whole world! You can only envy us!
The time when head coaches worked just for the honour is way behind. Serbian or not, Mr. Boričić will have to pay him. I’m surprised with this attitude of the second ranked official in FIVB!
I can see potential candidates like Grbic, Kovac, Travica again and why not Kobiljski???
