Vojvodina NS Seme Novi Sad will play for the gold medal in Superliga for the third straight season.
The top-seed side won 2017/18 playoff semifinal series against No.4 Crvena zvezda Belgrade by a 3-1 as they prevailed in Game 4, in the tie-breaker, partially 23-25, 25-20, 25-23, 22-25, 15-12.
Vojvodina made it to the playoff finals thanks to an impressive team’s blocking display (16 kill blocks) and 27 points from David Mehić (4 kill blocks). On the other side, Aleksandar Gmitrović scored 22 points, while Nemanja Mašulović added 5 kill blocks.
Crvena zvezda will miss the playoff finals for the first time in six seasons.
In the other semifinal, No.2 Novi Pazar have a 2-0 lead in the series against No.3 Spartak Subotica.
