Ziraat Bankkart prevailed in the classic of the Turkish men’s club volleyball over Arkas Spor.

Ziraat Bankkart recorded the 17th successive win in the 2020/21 Turkish Men’s AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season. They beat Arkas Spor in the classic – a delayed match of Round 18 – by a 3-1 (24-26, 25-20, 25-22, 31-29). The Dutch-Bulgarian duo Ter Maat and Atanasov scored 46 points combined (24 and 22) on the winning side who kept closely following leaders Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta in the charts (59-56). Efe Mandıracı notched 21 points for Arkas.

As for Fenerbahçe, thanks to Cuban Salvador Hidalgo and Metin Toy (20 points apiece), they beat Tokat Bld. Plevne in 4 sets.

Third-placed Galatasaray HDI Sigorta were shocked by 12th placed Afyon Bld. Yüntaş (1-3: 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 22-25) in a delayed match of Round 19. Argentine international Bruno Lima stood out on the winning side, who recorded the 4th success in a row, with 28 points (including 7 aces!). Görkem Sertel set up 5 blocks.

Cuban Fernando Hernández led Halkbank to the 6th win in a row, tallying 16 points in a sweep of Bursa B.Şehir Bld.
