So far, every club in Turkey was allowed to register 3 foreign players, and to have maximum 2 on the court at the same time. But, from the next season, clubs will be allowed to add one more foreign player in the roster!
In 2015/16 season all Turkish clubs will be able to register 4 foreigners and to have 3 on the court at the same time!
However, due to the financial crisis in some of the major clubs, there is a big question whether all of them will use this change of rules. Galatasaray will once again be forced to decrease the budget, Arkas will also reduce investments significantly, while Fenerbahce lost some major sponsors in other sports sections so we will see how will that affect the volleyball club.
Only HalkBank and ZiraatBank are at the moment ready to hire 4 quality foreign players.
