“Fenerbahce is one of the most prestigious sport clubs on earth” says Bagnoli addressing the local media a few days before the start of Europe’s most elitist club competition. “We have just showed our potential by winning the Supercup and this motivates us to go for more success; the CEV Volleyball Champions League is the most elitist tournament out there, so we are evidently proud of being included in the starting field. There are many strong teams ready to fight for the title but we will do our best to add this cup to the showcase of the club”.
Team captain Arslan Eksi adds: “We have been assigned to a very tough group with teams from Russia and Poland that are real contenders for the final crown. We want to play well and bring the trophy home. We have a very good roster for this season and we just won the Supercup. We want to prolong that winning streak also in the Champions League”.
