The Pro Volleyball League debut week drew an impressive crowd, with nearly 25,000 fans across three matches in Columbus, Ohio, and Frisco, Texas. The premier women’s volleyball league in North America saw a record-breaking turnout for its inaugural matches.
The excitement began in Columbus, where the Atlanta Vibe secured a 3-2 victory over the Supernovas in front of 11,624 spectators, marking the largest audience for a women’s professional volleyball match in the United States. The momentum continued in Frisco, with a sellout crowd of 7,805 cheering the Grand Rapids Rise to a 3-0 win against the Columbus Fury.
The week concluded with another thrilling five-set match as the Atlanta Vibe claimed their second road win against the Orlando Valkyries in front of 5,284 fans. The total attendance for the week stood at 24,713, averaging 8,238 fans per match, showcasing the league’s strong appeal and fan engagement.
In the second week of the Pro Volleyball Federation, Atlanta triumphed over San Diego Mojo with a clean sweep of 3-0. On February 3, the Omaha Supernovas also secured a 3-0 victory against the San Diego Mojo. Bethania De La Cruz led the scoring with 14 points, closely followed by Tory Dixon who scored 10 points. For San Diego Mojo, Ronika Stone was the top scorer with 12 points, while Morgan Lewis added 10 points.
