It’s now official: the United States will have a representative at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship. The Orlando Valkyries, fresh off their title as 2025 Major League Volleyball champions, have accepted an invitation to compete in São Paulo, Brazil, from December 9–14.

This marks a major milestone, as the Valkyries become the first American professional volleyball club to take part in the prestigious international event.

Head coach Amy Pauly called the moment “monumental” for both the team and the sport in the U.S., saying the opportunity to represent the country and showcase MLV talent on a world stage is an honor the players are ready to embrace.

The Valkyries will join a stacked lineup of eight clubs, including defending champions Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano, along with top teams from Brazil, Italy, Peru, Egypt, and Kazakhstan.

Sarah Ratzlaff, Vice President of Business Operations and Strategic Partnerships, said the invitation highlights the rapid growth of professional volleyball in the U.S. and reflects the strength of both the league and its fan base.
