Chaumont players did their best to stay undefeated in Pool C of the 2018 CEV Champions League, using all of their resources in Round 3 game against Lokomotiv, but it was not enough (2-3).
Nevertheless, this action showed their determination in the best possible way. The Cuban setter Javier González made a pursuit for the ball out of the court but managed to assist without looking to Stéphen Boyer! Nothing less than a 3-meter kill could be expected from the France national team sensation. The protests of Lokomotiv players, who thought González recovered the ball on the wrong side of the antenna, were in vain.
