This is an extremely important match for the Italians who need some points to secure their qualification for the 1/8 finals.

Second setter Valentina Serena – who missed the last game in the national league – is back after nursing an injury, while Chiara Di Iulio and Francesca Piccinini are also not at their best for the moment.

I feel better, I am recovering and hope to get back to my best shape soon. It will be a great fight with Azerrail, so we need to give it all” says Piccinini.

Azerrail won the previous match in Azerbaijan with the score of 3:1 but in the meantime BERGAMO has changed gear by sweeping all opponents in the national league.

We need to play with consistency also in the Champions League” stresses head coach Davide Mazzanti.

We will try to repeat our success with Tomis CONSTANTA and I expect our young setter Noemi Signorile will be playing another great match. She will be one of our aces together with spikers Quaranta, Vasileva (pictured) and Piccinini”.
