Kamnik, Slovenia, January 9, 2012. ACH Volley LJUBLJANA claimed this past January 6 its seventh – and sixth consecutive – title in Slovenia’s national cup via a speedy win in straight sets (25-20, 25-18, 25-9) over the hosts of Calcit KAMNIK.

I do not count the cups anymore” says captain Andrej Flajs, MVP of the tournament.

To me it is rather important that we stayed focused and concentrated throughout the game and that we have fulfilled our first goal of the season. To be honest our thoughts are fully directed to the Champions League” he adds.

ACH Volley has no real competitors in Slovenia having lost only one set so far this season in domestic competitions.

However, in Europe things are much different and the team needs some more years to fully mature and turned into a force to reckon with for the real powerhouses out there.

Apart from taking the trophy, some players of ACH Volley were honored in Kamnik, with middle blocker Milan Rasic top scoring in the final match with 17 points, Dejan Vincic receiving the award for the best setter and Andrej Flajs voted MVP for his outstanding all-round performance.
