One of the world’s best players of the turn between the 20th and 21st century will coach the Polish Championship winners ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in the next season, replacing Italian Andrea Gardini who, earlier, moved to the team in his home country Gas Sales Piacenza. Thus, Grbić quickly found himself a new job after parting ways with Calzedonia Verona, Italy, at whose helm he has been for two and a half seasons.
Nikola Grbić had a rich professional career, playing as a setter. Winning the 2000 Sydney Olympics was definitely his biggest success but as a coach, he is on a good way to repeat these results. Under Grbić’s leadership, Serbia national team won the 2016 FIVB World League.
