Savino Del Bene Volley announced the appointment of Stéphane Antiga as the new head coach of their first team. Antiga, a former professional volleyball player and successful coach, brings an impressive international resume. He transitioned from a stellar playing career, where he won numerous national and international titles, to coaching, achieving significant milestones, including leading the Polish national team to the 2014 World Championship.
Francesco Paoletti, the club’s Sports Director, expressed confidence in Antiga’s abilities, highlighting his successful tenure with the Polish club Resovia and his contribution to team and player development. Paoletti acknowledged the high expectations following last season’s achievements and retained much of the current coaching staff to ease the transition.
Antiga is enthusiastic about this new challenge, praising the organization and ambition of Savino Del Bene Volley and expressing his eagerness to compete in the high-level Italian league and the Champions League.
