Knack Roeselare won their third Belgian Men’s Super Cup in a row.
The trophy collection of the Belgian powerhouse, Knack Roeselare, continued to grow: 13 national championship titles, 14 national cups, one European title (the CEV Cup), and now also a 10th Super Cup. Given that double digits stand next to the number of titles in as many as three competitions, it’s a tremendous collection.
The Belgian Super Cup was paused for two years due to the pandemic, and given that Roeselare won the last two editions before the break, the trophy they won in their own hall by beating Caruur Volley Gent 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-15) counts as their third in a row in the competition.
The Estonian outside hitter, Märt Tammearu, was the most efficient player in Roeselare with 14 points. Dennis Deroey made 75% reception (12 digs, 33% excellent).
