Top Volley Cisterna has welcomed its latest reinforcement – Serbian outside hitter Pavle Peric. The team announced the engagement of this highly skilled outside hitter through their social media channels.
Peric, who is currently in preparation with the Serbian national team for the imminent European Championship, has built a solid reputation with his previous performances. He spent the previous season with Turkish powerhouse, Fenerbahce. Although his playtime was limited there, often being fielded as an opposite, his talent was undeniable.
Having drawn increasing attention within the Serbian national team, Peric is expected to become a significant player in the Italian first league. Alongside Turkish national team player Efe Bayram and the Frenchman Theo Faure, who was previously with Montpellier, Peric is anticipated to form the core of the Top Volley Cisterna’s strategy in the upcoming season.
The team has recently seen departures of three key players from the last season – Petar Dirlic to Milan, Marko Sedlacek to Polish juggernaut Jastrzebski Wegiel, and Michele Baranowicz who will be playing for Hebar in Bulgaria next season. Filling the gap left by these departures, Davide Saitta, a former member of Padua, has stepped into a critical role. The addition of Peric, thus, heralds a promising season for Top Volley Cisterna.
