Facing the Czechia, the Dutch team lived up to their favorites tag by winning three straight sets, each ending at 25-22. Star player Nimir Abdel-Aziz led the charge with 19 points, while Jan Hadrava stood out for the Czechs, contributing 15 points.
In the second match of Pool C, host country North Macedonia dispatched Montenegro in straight sets, (25-22, 25-18, 25-20). Nikola Gjorgiev spearheaded the Macedonian assault with a 20-point performance, closely followed by Aleksandar Ljaftov with 14 points. On the Montenegrin side, Vojin Cacic and Ivan Zvicer led the scoring with 12 and 11 points respectively.
These victories edge both the Netherlands and North Macedonia closer to the round of 16, with the latter achievement marking a historic milestone for the Macedonian team.
