The Polish player agreed to play for Modena in the playoffs of the 2019/20 SuperLega Credem Banca but knowing that Italian League is suspended due to coronavirus outbreak and may not resume, his arrival to the club, that’s currently the vice-leader in the competition, likely won’t happen.
“He has good relations with his current club in Japan (Panasonic Panthers) to which he will return next season. So, he follows the directives he receives from them and he will move according to the indications he has from them. But, I think that, since we decided to suspend (Italian Championship), I don’t know if it’s right to tell him to come,“ Modena President, Catia Pedrini, stated after the last match her team played prior to the league suspension, against Vero volley Monza.
A two-time world champion Kubiak was under severe precautionary measures in Japan, just like the rest of the Panthers, after the completion of the national championship.
