The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) issued a press release regarding the case of Russia Women assistant coach Busato against whom the Korean Volleyball Association (KVA) filed a racial hatred complaint. The Italian is banned to sit on the bench for three matches and already started to serve his suspension at the ongoing CEV European Championship.

“The FIVB Disciplinary Panel has ruled that Mr. Sergio Busato, assistant coach of the Russia women’s national volleyball team, violated the FIVB’s Disciplinary Regulations following a gesture made at the Volleyball Qualification Tournament in Kaliningrad, Russia. Mr. Busato has been issued a three-match suspension, to be served during the Women’s European Volleyball Championship which starts today. Mr. Busato will, therefore, miss Russia’s matches against Belarus, Switzerland and Germany. The sanction is final. However, the FIVB Disciplinary Panel reserves the right to re-open the proceedings if Mr. Busato fails to serve his sanction,” the FIVB published.

This is right. He should be banned for longer! Why Russians and Serbians show this all the time. It should be a common sense and how come they don’t understand?
