After beating Dinamo Moscow with a 3-1 (27-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20), the team coached by Tuomas Sammelvuo recorded the fourth successive win and moved up to fourth place in the charts. Zenit were led by German opposite hitter György Grozer, who poured in 25 points of which as many as 9 in the opening set! Ivan Iakovlev made 5 kill blocks.
